Fun rasanya bila kompi dapat dual boot dengan linux, ( ubuntu ). Tapi setelah selesai kok gak mw putar musik atau video ya? ternyata ada aplikasi yang belum di install. Kalau mau install harus nyambung ke Internet atau melalui CD Repository. Waaahh... agak repot juga ya? Capek ngomong aja, langsung aja deh. Nih ada aplikasi nya. Silahkan ambil aja.
Setelah di install, Sekarang anda sudah bisa memainkan musik berekstensi .mp3 .mp4 .3gp .wmv .flv .mkv .avi .vob dll.

Blok ini berfungsi untuk mengolah warna yang datang dari VGA card dan dikirim ke tabung gambar/CRT.
Baik langsung saja belajar dari awal :
Video input didapatkan dari Out Put VGA Card yang memiliki 15 pin out put. Berikut urutan pin Out Put VGA Card :
Berikut ini bagan urutan pemasangan kabel VGA :
Urutan kabel VGA ini juga bisa digunakan untuk kabel LCD Proyektor.
1. Red : kalau kabel ini putus maka layar kebiru-biruan.
2. Green : kalau kabel ini putus maka layar kemerah-merahan.
3. Blue : kalau kabel ini putus maka layar kekuning-kuningan
4. Ground
5. Ground

7. Green Ground
8. Blue Ground
9. No Connection (NC)
10. Ground

13. Horisontal Syncrone : kalau kabel ini putus maka gambar akan roling / acak

Berikut ini Wujud dan bagian- bagian Blok RGBnya ( Monitor Advance Hitam 15" ) :
1. IC Penguat Video, biasanya menggunakan seri TDA : kalau rusak maka warna akan kacau atau bahkan tidak keuar gambar.
2. IC pengolah warna : kalau rusak maka gambar tidak akan muncul
3. Elco Regulator ukuran 47-100uF/100-160v tegangan 80 v untuk IC penguat video
: kalau rusak / kering / melembung maka layar samping kiri akan ada gangguan garis vertikal banyak dan melengkung.
4. Kondensator milar ukuran 102-103 / 2kv : fungsinya untuk membuang kelebihan muatan G2 (screen) : kalau rusak maka gambar terang kemudian gelap sendiri, kadang berubah-ubah sendiri, kadang malah gelap sama sekali.
5. Elco regulator warna biasanya ada 3-6 dengan ukuran 1uF/100-160v : kalau rusak maka tulisan akan ada bayangan mbleret merah / hijau / biru.
6. Trimpot : fungsinya untuk mengatur komposisi warna : kalau setingan tidak pas maka warna akan tidak alami. putar-putar saja kalau mau mencoba, tidak apa-apa.
7. Kabel Fokus / G3 / G4 : kalau putus / sambungan tak sempurna maka gambar akan tidak fokus / kabur.
8. Kabel Screen / G2 : kalau sambungan tidak sempurna maka layar akan gelap.
Bagian yang di lingkari diatas sering retak solderannya, dan kalau retak maka gambar akan terganggu.

A large number of Linux Distributions these days including Fedora,Ubuntu,Kubuntu etc which have become quiet popular and are increasingly being accepted by the Desktop Users lack proper support for playing the popular Audio/Video Formats right out of the box mainly because of certain patent and royalty issue . The issue of no cross platform file compatibility has been robbing common users of ability to display files and this has been one of the major reason for slow adaption of Linux on the Desktop Front. The case isnt that the Linux dosent support these formats but is not intentionally added to the Linux distribution because of

Playing Real Media(.rm) Files :-
Real Player has been available on the Unix/Linux platform since a number of years . This is the WinAmp alternative for the Linux platform and has been in existence for quiet some time now , it is based on mpg123 library for playing mp3 files . The List of supported file formats is quiet similar to Xine as MPlayer also uses some of the library used by xine for decoding videos including w32codec pack.MPlayer website states that it can play damaged Video CDs, bad AVI files with damaged index properly though i was not able to confirm it. So this may be another plus for some with collection of old VCDs.
Another useful application included with Mplayer is mencoder which can convert one Mplayer playable format to another.

VLC Player is another of popular video player available under Linux . It is released under GNU General Public license and is available for different platform including Windows,Linux,BeOS,Mac OS X etc. VLC player is based upon free open source libraries like libdvdcss,FFMpeg for decoding various video formats. Since both Xine and Mplayer are based upon FFmpeg file hence the list of supported codecs without installing extra files is almost same for all three players.
