DETAILS:

GOLDEN RULE: If you are using a iPhone 3G or iPhone 3G(S) with ultrasn0w and rely on ultrasn0w to obtain cellular service then you should only update your device with an .ipsw that is made with the new PwnageTool. There are no second chances with this. You need to remember that PwnageTool will provide an upgrade path to newer versions of the iPhone software in the future.

What’s a Baseband?
The ‘baseband’ is the generic nickname given to the internal components of the iPhone that handle the phone calls and Internet access. This ‘baseband’ is a tiny and unique independent computer system that runs inside your iPhone, it is separate to the main system that handles the applications (such as email and google maps) and it talks to the main part of the phone over an internal communications network.
Think of it like a cable modem or other peripheral that is attached to your home PC that needs occasional updates. When a software update is released and presented to you within iTunes the baseband is sometimes updated (to fix bugs or add new features).
The 3.1 update for the iPhone 3G and 3GS contains such an update, so running the vanilla updater straight away with iTunes will reprogram and update the baseband.
WHICH DEVICE DO I HAVE?
Read the description to identify your device, once you have correctly identified your device follow the specific instructions for that device as listed below.
SIM Free/SP Unlocked/Factory Unlocked iPhone 3G(S)
This applies if you bought your iPhone 3G(S) for $$$$. This model of iPhone 3G(S) doesn’t have an Service Provider lock (aka factory unlocked) and you are able to put any SIM card into the phone and get service. Your phone is already unlocked so you do not need to worry about baseband updates, if your device was Pwned at 3.0 or 3.0.1 then you can use PwnageTool to create an ipsw and then use this to update and jailbreak your phone.

This applies if you bought your iPhone 3G for $$$$. Use PwnageTool to create a firmware image and restore with that .ipsw using iTunes, this will only work if you are already Pwned at 3.0 or 3.1. If you are at 3.1, downgrade to 3.0 and use redsn0w to Pwn 3.0 then you have an upgrade path using PwnageTool.
iPod Touch 3G
At this time PwnageTool does not support this device.

Film yang diangkat dari sebuah novel best seller tentunya memiliki beban berat untuk bisa benar-benar menerjemahkan bahasa tulisan menjadi bahasa visual yang tak kalah bobotnya. Untuk itulah Dewi ‘Dee’ Lestari dipercayakan menulis skenarionya langsung dari 444 halaman buah pemikirannya itu. Tampuk komando diserahkan pada sutradara papan atas Hanung Bramantyo. Demi menghindari adanya esensi yang hilang, produser Chand Parwez Servia dan Putut Widjanarko sepakat membagi film menjadi dua bagian dimana Part 1 dirilis di bulan Agustus demi menyambut Lebaran sedangkan Part 2 direncanakan menyusul di bulan Oktober nanti.

Sama-sama kuliah di Bandung, Kugy dan Keenan mengambil jurusan yang berbeda yaitu Sastra dan Ekonomi dan bersahabat erat dengan pasangan Noni dan Eko yang juga sepupu Keenan. Diam-diam keduanya saling mencintai walau Kugy telah menjalin hubungan dengan Ojos dan Keenan lebih memilih mundur. Tahun demi tahun berlalu, Keenan yang bertengkar dengan ayahnya memilih lari ke Bali dan menekuni seni lukis di bawah arahan Wayan dan didukung oleh keponakannya Luhde. Kugy yang magang di advertising milik Remi mulai menunjukkan talentanya dan menarik perhatian atasannya itu. Akankah mereka berjumpa lagi pada waktu dan kesempatan yang lebih tepat?

Kekhawatiran yang muncul di kalangan moviegoers sejak awal adalah menemukan cast yang tepat. Kontroversi sempat terjadi ketika diputuskan Maudy Ayunda dan Adipati Dolken berperan sebagai Kugy dan Keenan. Melihat aksi mereka selama nyaris dua jam, tampaknya saya harus setuju dan tidak setuju. Chemistry keduanya agak terasa dipaksakan dan masing-masing cukup sulit untuk keluar dari peran stereotype sebelumnya. Namun jika harus mengapresiasi, Adipati menunjukkan usaha yang lebih dalam menginterpretasikan karakter Keenan yang harus jatuh bangun mengejar mimpinya. Sedangkan Maudy masih kurang dewasa dalam menjiwai karakter Kugy yang cerdas tomboy dan memiliki dunianya sendiri.

Dari jajaran pendukung, Sylvia dan Fauzan berulang kali sukses mencuri perhatian baik sebagai pasangan ataupun sahabat kawan-kawan mereka. Coba lihat adegan ijab kabul yang super kocak itu. Lain lagi Reza Rahadian yang berhasil memerankan Remi dengan kreatif dan dewasa tanpa harus kehilangan imej cool. Penampilan menjanjikan dibawakan pendatang baru Elyzia sebagai gadis Bali yang lemah lembut dan pengertian. Jangan lupakan kontribusi nama-nama senior macam Tio Pakusadewo, August Melasz dll.

Sutradara Hanung sudah berupaya keras mempertahankan momen-momen penting yang amat berpengaruh dalam perjalanan hidup Kugy dan Keenan tetapi proses editing yang kurang mulus karena keterbatasan durasi memang terkadang merenggut sebagian intisarinya. Yang tersisa adalah kumpulan potongan mozaik mengenai reaksi campur aduk akan perasaan yang tak dapat terungkapkan mulai dari marah, kecewa, putus asa dsb. Kesemua konflik tersebut berjalan linier melewati lompatan waktu yang kerapkali tak terukur kadar dan porsinya secara utuh.

Separuh pertama film terbilang sibuk bertutur, sesekali meninggalkan penonton yang masih berusaha mencerna atau pada kesempatan lain malah berlama-lama mendramatisir ini itunya. Namun percayalah, Hanung cukup kompeten menyatukan semua percabangan sehingga tontonan ini terkesan kian menyenangkan seiring berjalannya waktu. Salah satu rekan saya menginformasikan bahwa bagian pertama ini ‘digantungkan’ setelah tiga perempat isi novelnya diceritakan. Mudah-mudahan bagian keduanya kelak dapat lebih fokus pada perasaan Kugy dan Keenan secara personal walau harus mengecewakan orang-orang di sekitar mereka.

Perahu Kertas Part 1 ini mungkin akan menuai review kontradiktif, tak disukai penggemar novelnya tapi disukai penonton awam yang tidak membaca novelnya. Selalu ada dua sisi yang berseberangan. Argumen bahwa teenlit intelek bercitarasa dewasa bertransformasi menjadi roman picisan bercitarasa remaja memang tampaknya sulit dihindari. Satu yang pasti, itikad baik sudah dilakukan filmmakers dalam mengembalikan genre drama romantis lokal ke jalur yang variatif dan menyegarkan, tak melulu terjebak pada premis yang itu-itu saja. Siap untuk memasuki misteri keseimbangan dunia Kugy dan Keenan yang mesti bersua di tengah situasi kemustahilan untuk bersama?
