Apa lagi yang kurang dengan Toyota Fortuner SUV? Dengan kelebihan dan performanya yang dahsyat anda mampu melakukan apa yang anda mau (The World Is Mine). Semua kesempurnaannya sudah dikonsep lengkap kepada anda, karena Toyota tidak pernah letih untuk berkarya. Kehadiran Toyota selalu membawa dampak positif yang luar biasa di dunia otomotif, dibuktikan dengan gaya yang elegan, nyaman, mewah, bertenaga kuat, dan teknologi yang dimiliki sangat menjaga keselamatan pengendara di jalan.
Memperkenalkan Toyota Grand New VNT pada Fortuner Diesel. Dahsyatnya VNT Fortuner Diesel memiliki variabel Nozzle Turbo yang luar biasa. Perangkat ini mampu meningkatkan output daya dan torsi secara signifikan, produksi tenaga meningkat dari 102 PS/3600rpm dan peningkatan torsinya dari 26.5kgm/1600-2400rpm menjadi 35kgm/1600-2800rpm, sungguh menakjubkan. Peningkatan signifikan tersebut ditandai dengan empat silinder diesel berkapasitas 2.5 liter yang terpasang baik diantara rangkaian mesin.
Untuk mengulas kembali tentang fungsi dan cara kerja turbo, ada baiknya menyegarkan ingatan tentang Turbo Charger. Bagi penggemar otomotif sudah pasti mengenal Turbo Charger. Fungsinya adalah untuk memperkaya jumlah oksigen agar pembakaran lebih sempurna. Di dalam Turbo Charger terdapat kompresor yang bertugas menyedot dan mendorong udara ke ruang pembakaran dan mempunyai poros yang sama dengan turbin. Disaat turbin berputar maka kompresor juga ikut berputar menyedot udara dari luar, turbin ini digerakkan gas buang dari mesin.
Nah, turbo yang biasa kita kenal agar dapat bekerja secara efektif harus membutuhkan putaran turbin yang kencang atau jika putaran mesin tinggi. Namun inovasi Grand New VNT menjadi sebaliknya, turbo bekerja efektif pada putaran mesin yang rendah.
Bagaimana cara kerja Nozzle Turbo VNT menjadi lebih baik? Inovasi VNT sudah dilengkapi dengan bilah/sudu-sudu yang bisa diatur sudut bukaannya berdasarkan beban mesin, rpm dan variabel lainnya. Penggera sudu-sudu tersebut adalah motor listrik. Pada putaran rendah, ketika tekanan gas buang masih lemah dan kurang efektif memutar turbin, maka sudu-sudu ditutup sehingga gas buang mengalir di area sempit yang otomatis meningkatkan tekanannya. Karena semakin tinggi putaran mesin, sudut bukaan sudu-sudu ikut melebar untuk menghindari tekanan berlebihan yang bisa merusak perangkat turbo.
Selain kelebihan tersebut, Toyota Fortuner Diesel ini juga dilengkapi dengan intercooler yang terletak diantara turbo dan intake manifold yang berguna untuk menurunkan suhu udara panas sehingga kandungan oksigen menjadi lebih rapat padahal jika suhu udara panas maka molekul oksigen menjadi renggang dan menipis. Sumber pendingin adalah hembusan udara luar yang dialikan dari air scoop pada cap mesin Fortuner Diesel VNT.
Selain kelebihan tersebut, Toyota Fortuner Diesel ini juga dilengkapi dengan intercooler yang terletak diantara turbo dan intake manifold yang berguna untuk menurunkan suhu udara panas sehingga kandungan oksigen menjadi lebih rapat padahal jika suhu udara panas maka molekul oksigen menjadi renggang dan menipis. Sumber pendingin adalah hembusan udara luar yang dialikan dari air scoop pada cap mesin Fortuner Diesel VNT.
Keunggulan Grand New VNT juga tidak perlu diragukan lagi, sudah terbukti dilapangan dengan melakukan ekspedisi terbaiknya yang diulas dalam Perjalanan Jakarta - Rome "EuroAsia".
Fastron EuroAsia I
Dampak positif yang hidadirkan Toyota bukan hanya dirasakan oleh penggunanya, namun membawa kesuksesan besar kepada Pertamina Fastron EuroAsia Yepe Expedition 2011. Ekspedisi yang tidak mudah untuk melintasi Jakarta menuju Italia tersebut menjadikan produk Toyota ini unggul dalam segala hal. Sebelum keberangkatan tim ekspedisi, Toyota-Astra yang memberikan partisipasi 4 unit Toyota Fortuner jenis 4x4 dengan silinder 2.7 liter itu harus menjalani sejumlah pemeriksaan di bengkel Yanatta Auto Works - Lebak Bulus. Pemeriksaan terkait dengan pembuatan roof rack, winch (katrol derek), side guard untuk bracket high lift jack (dongkrak untuk mengangkat mobil hingga ketinggian 1 meter), dan rak besi di bagian bagasi, tutur Nudianto, Kepala Bengkel Yanatta.
Toyota Grand New Fortuner 2.7V A/T 4x4 ini menggunakan bahan bakar bensin dengan kapasitas 2700 cc dan mengusung mesin 2 TR-FE 2.7 L DOHC 16 Valve VVT-i. Mobil ini telah lulus uji emisi Euro-2 yang direka khusus tangguh di segala medan. Pada ekspedisi tersebut, seluruh pelumas menggunakan produk Pertamina termasuk rem dan radiator coolantnya.
Tidak perlu khawatir dengan kenyamanan pengendara karena mobil ini telah dilengkapi dengan peralatan canggih diantaranya power seat adjuster, corner and parking sensor, touch screen audio and video system with Toyota navigation, serta parking camera. Johnny Darmawan menambahkan di sela-sela pelepasan tim ekspedisi yang bertepatan dengan Hari Kemerdekaan RI, 17 Agustus 2012 silam, seharusnya kita patut bangga karena Toyota Grand New Fortuner dapat mengiringi anak bangsa menapaktilas perjalanan Marcopolo dengan tujuan dapat menanamkan rasa nasionalisme dan menginspirasi seluruh elemen masyarakat untuk memberikan sumbangan terbaik bagi bangsa dan negara.
Tim Ekspedisi yang dilepas dari Gedung Pertamina Jakarta merupakan ekspedisi lintas benua Asia dan Eropa yang terdiri dari 16 orang yang akan melintasi 23 negara dan sekitar 60 kota.
Fastron EuroAsia II
Sebelum sampai di Thailand, tim sempat singgah di Songkla selepas dari Malaysia. Dengan bantuan dari konsulat jendral setempat, tim bertemu dengan media dan mempromosikan Indonesia. Tim mengatakan sistem navigasi terbukti banyak membantu perjalanan mereka. Selanjutnya,menurut informasi yang diperoleh dari situs http://toyota.astra.co.id, ternyata tim ekspedisi harus menghadapi banjir bandang yang meluluhlantakkan daerah yang dikenal dengan julukan negeri Gajah Putih tersebut. Namun, tidak menjadi masalah bagi Grand New Fortuner karena mobil ini memiliki kelebihan Ground Clearance yang tinggi. Setelah diperiksa oleh bengkel Toyota resmi disana sekaligus pergantian oli, kondisi mobil tetap prima dan dapat melanjutkan perjalanan.
Fastron EuroAsia III
China menjadi tantangan lain bagi Fortuner. Disaat cuaca berkisar 15-17 derajat celcius mesin tidak mengalami masalah sedikitpun, buktinya saja tim tidak mengalami gangguan apapun saat melintasi kota Chengdu, China. Ketika cuaca dingin, sistem penggerak 4x4 menjadi perangkat penting untuk menuntaskan perjalanan. Kombinasi suspensi depan double wishbone with stabilizer dan suspensi belakang 4 link dengan lateral rod bekerja sempurna. Bukan itu saja Fortuner juga mampu mengahadapi gurun pasir Taklimakan di Xinjiang. Kehadiran tim ekspedisi di China membuat masyarakat disana menjadi heran membayangkan perjalanan 4 unit Fortuner Indonesia bisa sampai ke negara yang dijuluki Tirai Bambu dengan odometer 10.000 kilometer lebih. Sungguh ekpedisi yang menyenangkan tentunya bagi tim.
Fastron EuroAsia IV
Setelah melalui masa sulit yang ekstrim sekalipun, kini Fortuner harus berhadapan dengan pegunungan batu bersalju di Kyrghyztan. Rute yang dilalui bukanlah rute yang biasa, karena untuk menuju kawasan Asia Tengah hingga Iran, daerah tersebut sangat tinggi dan kering, berbukit-bukit dan keras setinggi 3900dpi. Apa yang membuat Fortuner tetap tangguh dan prima? Salah satu kuncinya adalah teknologi VVT-i yang didukung sensor oksigen yang berfungsi mendeteksi jumlah oksigen yang masuk ke ruang bakar. Dengan kecanggihan mengetahui seberapa banyak oksigen yang masuk, maka sistem tersebut mampu menakar kebutuhan oksigen yang diperlukan. Katup masuk ke ruang bakar juga bisa dikendalikan lama bukaannya disesuaikan dengan kondisi medan dan beban mobil. Dengan demikian mesin selalu bisa memproduksi tenaga yang dibutuhkan untuk mengantarkan tim menuju Turki, pintu gerbang eropa.

PCCrafter is GONE GONE GONE
I had mentioned in previous posts about the state of pccrafter ( http://chocolateonthekeyboard.blogspot.com/2011/12/tis-sad-day-comingpc-crafter-is-closing.html ) and its closing. But this week it became official. Now if you click on ANY bookmarks or links you and or "I" may have included in blog posts or webpages I have made - that were linked to pccrafter - the link will take you to an error page, and/or provocraft.com.
So if you didnt download ALL of your purchased downloadable content, in the past almost 2 yrs weve known the place was closing down, you have now lost that ability.
Please make sure that if you do have pccrafter collections installed on your computer that you BACK THEM UP!!! You can use an external drive, a thumb drive - which can be bought in 8gig to 64gigs worth of storage capability. I always back up my graphics collections to multiple locations. I use portable external drives to back up my computers : documents, photos, graphics, music and video.
I like using thumb or flash drives (usually 16 or 32 gigabyte size) to store or backup/copy to - entire specific collections:
I save my entire PC HugWare folder - to a thumbdrive (since I have over 18gigs worth - I use a 32 gig thumb/flash drive for that) - the PC HugWare folder contains all of my "INSTALLED" collections. So when I need to copy to a new computer, I just copy over that entire folder. I also save other large specific collections I might buy from certain places online, such as DAISIE Company, or NitWit Collections etc. Ive invested a lot of money in clipart Ive bought from those sites, so its important to me to back them up. But remember any drive can fail, your computers hard drive, an external drive, thumb/flash drives etc are all vulnerable to failure. So if something is important, irreplaceable, or that you would be heart broken to lose - back it up to more than one place.
I also use the ClickFree.com C6 model external drive to back up my "entire" computer. The C6 model backs up not only all the usual stuff, but also my Software Programs that are installed, and my computers operating system. (Currently all of my computers are running Windows 7)
You can also use Online Backup Storage sites such as Carbonite or Mozy
Sites such as Carbonite and Mozy would be most valuable to those who fear a disaster - where your home is destroyed and your computers with it, (sadly what many are going through now after Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast of the USA), or if your computer is stolen. Having your computers, documents, photos, graphics, music and video in "Cloud" storage, could be worth its weight in gold.
PCCrafter at one time in their 10+yr run on the internet truly was the best source of downloadable Clipart. Their artists, and the varied styles offered to us through the years was amazing. I personally own over 600 complete clipart sets, called Creatables, and Scrapables, Cardables. and then I have several months worth of the Monthly HugClub content - which included Paper Dolls, scrapbook/card toppers, home helper sets - which had blank calendars, recipe cards, note paper etc.
A very select few artists that once upon a time sold their art in downloadable form at pccrafter - do continue to sell their artwork online.

PC Crafter is CLOSED!!
PC Crafter is CLOSED!!
UPDATE: PCCrafter has closed its Digital Doors and has gone to website cyber heaven.
I will miss the amazing Artists, and while I own quite a bit of their beautiful and whimsical art collections - I will miss seeing NEW art from them available in downloadable kit form.
But there are still 3 former pccrafter artists who do sell their clip art sets online: as of Sept 2015 they are:
Gina Jane (owner of Daisie Company.com)
Laurie Furnell
Tammy DeYoung
Thats it, the majority of former pccrafter, Daisie Company and aimee asher (Aimee Asher went out of business in 2015) artists no longer sell their art online in downloadable form.

Many times folks will ask - what about all the clipart they had in their accounts that they hadnt downloaded yet from pccrafter. Well the website went out of business in 2011 and no content is available anywhere. If you didnt download your content in time before it closed or when you bought it, or Did NOT back up your collections and had a computer crash - You are sadly out of Luck. Except for the 3 artists I mention above - who sell a "few" select kits that were once upon a time sold on pccrafter - You are not going to find those sets again.
Sadly there is a lot of clipart images uploaded to picasa albums and/or pinned on pinterest that is in violation of the pccrafter terms of use and the artists copyrights. And anything found online will not be in the original dpi quality etc.
Remember if you purchased anything from ANY digital website now, or in the past > and installed it to your computer > there are Terms of Use and Copyright information that always must be adhered to - even if the website itself goes out of business. Those TOUs and Artists Copyrights always remain in effect.
One of the main reasons that so many artists chose to get out of the Digital Clip art - downloadable business, is because of the rampant illegal file sharing, and disregard of their Terms or Use and/or Angel policies.
Please support the Artists that continue to offer their art for us clip art junkies, by Purchasing their art from reputable websites and honoring their TOUs and Copyrights.
